KENTUCKY’S ORIGINAL CBD COMPANY
Founded in 2014 for family, by family. We continue to operate today as a vertically-integrated, family owned business, striving to better the hemp industry so all consumers can purchase products they can trust.
INTRODUCED CBD TO KENTUCKY
While others in Kentucky advocated for hemp’s legalization for fiber and seed production, we were solely focused on advocating for high CBD hemp. Many legislators and farmers alike told us no one was interested in CBD. All we asked for was a chance.
FIRST TO CULTIVATE FOR CBD
Once hemp was legalized in the state of Kentucky, 6 pilot programs were approved to cultivate. We were awarded number 5 – Kentucky’s first, and only, pilot program to cultivate hemp, specifically, for CBD production.
FIRST TO LAUNCH A FULL SPECTRUM CBD PRODUCT
Our Genesis Blend, made from our proprietary hemp genetics, was the first full spectrum CBD product to launch in the state of Kentucky. Though, the label has had its fair amount of changes, our proprietary blend, backed by science, has remained the same.
FIRST TO OPEN AN EXCLUSIVE CBD RETAIL STORE
In 2016, we opened the first exclusive CBD retail store, Bluegrass Hemp Oil, in Lexington, KY. It was the first of its kind in the state and the United States. Since then, we opened a second location in Midway, KY.
