As parents, when it comes to our kids health, we will do anything. Our son’s epilepsy diagnosis in 2009 and subsequent struggle with pharmaceutical side effects led us down a road of alternative treatments – ending ultimately upon CBD. The knowledge we discovered fueled our advocacy for our son, and others like him, with physicians and legislators alike. Our efforts blessed us with the opportunity to be the first to cultivate and produce CBD in Kentucky – ultimately resulting in a son now free from seizures and pharmaceuticals.
Seven years since our inception, studies and anecdotal evidence on the benefits of CBD abound, so much so that products, once never seen on store shelves, are now flooding the market. But our fight continues. Not only for consumer protection/confidence, but on the farming/industry building aspects, as well.
